WING CHUN is a popular style of Kung Fu
Wing Chun contributed greatly to Bruce Lee's development when he studied the art from age 13.
It is a concept-based Chinese Martial Art specialising in close-range combat.
Wing Chun is a practical system of self defence based on the understanding and correct use of body mechanics, angles and timing to deal with an opponent - rather than great strength and athleticism.
It is known for its lightening fast hand techniques and combinations, simultaneous attack & defence, trapping skills, low-level kicks and fast, agile footwork.

CLUB MERCHANDISE:
Feedback from past & present members:
"Having studied Wing Chun elsewhere for a few years some time back I appreciated the fact that I didn't have to start from scratch, rather, I was fitted in at the appropriate level and adjustments and improvements were made to my existing knowledge. This is a friendly group and everyone seems happy and keen to help out. There is a wide range of experience here and I was glad to find I wasn't the oldest student attending!"
John

"Friendly, relaxed atmosphere - everyone is happy to train with others and pass on any knowledge. Tom is very good at communicating and explaining moves, drills, positions etc. The benefits have been to focus better on my health and fitness since starting the class. It's good to be studying Wing Chun again after such a long gap. This time round I'm understanding things better and focusing on the details more, rather than gradings or belts.
Tom teaches the art very well, explaining all aspects of the system and how and why techniques are applied."
Paul

"This is a great class. Friendly with a good mix of beginners to more advanced and experienced students.
Tom runs a relaxing yet hard-working class with everyone willing to help out, which is good for me because I don't always get the moves the first time.
The warm-up is developing my core strength in preparation for the Wing Chun which is a fascinating Martial Art and I greatly look forward to understanding the system in greater depth."
